Amari Hotel Koh Samui Review

We spent 4 nights in Koh Samui during in December (2020). We stayed at The Amari Koh Samui on Chaweng Beach. Typically, Koh Samui attracts many tourists. At the moment due to Covid-19 Thailand is not allowing international visitors. However despite the lack of international visitors Chaweng Beach still had plenty of activities.

Location: Situated in the northern part of Chaweng Beach, The Amari is within walking distance to many bars, restaurants, bike rental shops and a shopping centre. The Amari Koh Samui offers direct access to the beach and ocean and the hotel is only 15 minutes by car from the airport. The Amari Koh Samui will collect you and drop you off at the airport for 400baht each way.

Facilities: The resort is very well maintained and offers everything you need for a enjoyable and relaxing vacation. There are two swimming pools, one of these pools in right on the beach front while the second situated in a beautifully maintained Thai garden.

The Amari Koh Samui also offers other services such a gym, kids club, room service, a lounge area with computers and an excellent spa called Breeze Spa.

The Rooms: There are a total of 197 rooms at The Amari Koh Samui. They offer a variety of different rooms such as Superior, Deluxe, Pool View, Ocean View and a Junior Suite.

During our stay we stayed in the Deluxe Pool View room. We had a spacious patio with a table and chairs over looking the pool area. The room was well facilitated with everything we needed, air conditioning, great wifi, mini bar, TV and the bathroom had all the essential toiletries.

Service: The service at The Amari Koh Samui was excellent. Staff at the reception were very helpful, the staff at the spa were very professional and the restaurant staff were very attentive. During our stay a new Food and Beverages Manager had just started and he was very friendly and helpful. He always check in with us during any meal to make sure everything was good.

Food: We were pleasantly surprised by the standard of the food at The Amari Koh Samui. There are two restaurants, the first restaurant is there beach front restaurant that offers a wide variety of beverages, Thai food and international options too.

Their second restaurant is Prego, a restaurant famous on Koh Samui for offering some of the best Italian cuisine in Thailand. The quality of the food and wine at Prego is excellent. The menu has a huge selection such as antipasto platters, pizza’s, homemade pasta’s and steak. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough!!

Spa: During our stay we both enjoyed spa treatments. We had an excellent massage and a facial. They offer a wide range of treatments and packages from body scrubs to manicures. The staff at the spa were very professional and the spa its self was very relaxing.

Would We Stay Here Again? Yes! Absolutely! We really enjoyed our stay at The Amari Koh Samui. The service was excellent, the food was outstanding and the location was perfect. If you are looking for a well facilitated hotel on the beach we highly recommend The Amari Koh Samui. We are hoping to return very soon.
